Hello everyone!
We are a group of volunteers who every year (over the past 21 years) decorate Rathcoole village with Christmas lights, spreading Christmas joy to the entire community.
We are only able to continue this work thanks to the incredible support we receive from the local community.
To keep Christmas Lights alive we need to raise each and every year 5500 EUR to cover the cost of Christmas Lights (every year we have to replace hundreds of meters of Christmas lights and try to decorate new buildings), cables, electrical sockets, junction boxes etc.
This is where we need YOU! We need your support to raise this money. 100% of the donations are spent on the lights and materials.
Thanks to your generous donations and the hard work of our volunteers, over the last few years we managed to upgrade Rathcoole Christmas lights to LED bulbs. LED lights not only bring extra bright sparkles to our village but also use 85% less energy than incandescent bulbs. Although Rathcoole Christmas lights are energy efficient, we are conscious of growing energy costs, so we are planning to reduce the time the lights stay on each day this year.
