Rathcoole Community Council in conjunction with South Dublin County Council has reviewed the potential community usage possibilities for the historic old courthouse building on Main Street in Rathcoole.
This building ,currently used as a community hall and managed by Rathcoole Community Council, is a listed building dating from 1911. It has excellent tourist potential and links the town to its historical admininstrative centre role in the local area. The building is in need of refurbishment and updating to comply with current health, safety and regulatory requirements in relation to usage as public building.
