Anam Cara is an organisation that supports bereaved parents, Anam Cara support groups are situated throughout Ireland and provide parents a safe, comfortable environment where they have the opportunity to connect with other bereaved parents. Anam Cara is an inclusive organisation where parents do not identify themselves by their children’s age, how they died, or if their death was recent or many years ago. What Anam Cara provides is a safe place for bereaved parents to connect with others who understand the intensity of the grief and loss. Although Anam Cara does not offer counselling, each group has a lending library and information on the other services available to parents and families in the local community.

Cookery Demonstration – In Aid of Niall Mellon Township Trust

We haCookingclassve assembled a team a team of senior chefs, who have drawn influences from their careers working at the top end of hotels and restaurants. Their inspiration has come from their experience working in Ireland has included time spent with Neven Maguire, Richard Corrigan and Ross Lewis and then internationally with Marco Pierre White, Albert Roux and Gary Rhodes.
They want to show you the tricks of the trade and help you cook fantastic food at home, all without breaking the bank.
Don’t Worry if you’re not a star in the kitchen just yet, the recipes on the night will be easy to follow and we hope will give you the confidence to delivery food that appeals to kids, to produce those everyday family favourites or for that dinner party when you want to impress.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to speak to Niamh our nutritionist, will will be showing you how to prepare great tasting healthy cakes and giving tips and advice on personal meal plans.

This event took place in Rathcoole Community Centre at 7.30pm on Friday 5th June 2015.
